Outlet Málaga wants to start expansion with 60 million investment

Outlet Málaga, the shopping center located in the Guadalhorce industrial estate of the Malaga capital, wants to begin an ambitious expansion project with an investment of 60 million euros. The goal is to consolidate its position as one of the main references in the world of commerce in Andalusia.
The intention is to expand the commercial area by more than 40,000 square meters, which represents an increase of 50% compared to the current surface area. The idea is to build a new floor to house new brands and establishments, as well as to improve the existing offer. In addition, the construction of an underground parking lot with more than 1,000 spaces is planned.
According to sources from the management of the shopping center, the expansion will be carried out in two phases. The first one will be completed within a period of two years, and in it, 20,000 square meters of commercial area and the underground parking lot will be built. The second phase, which will be carried out within a period of five years, contemplates the construction of the remaining 20,000 square meters.
Outlet Málaga is the first outlet shopping center in the city and one of the most important in Andalusia. Since its opening in 2012, it has been a reference in the world of commerce in the region, thanks to its wide range of products and its very competitive prices.
The expansion of the shopping center will allow the creation of new jobs, both direct and indirect. According to the management's calculations, around 500 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect jobs could be created.
