SILBON will launch in Mexico in 2024

  • The brand will open its first stores in Mexico in February of next year.

The Spanish fashion brand Silbon is about to open its first three stores in Mexico. This expansion represents an exciting step forward in Silbon's internationalization process and a strong commitment to the international and Latin American market.

The arrival of Silbon in Mexico is the result of an international expansion strategy that has been developing over the past few years. This milestone comes hand in hand with Palacio de Hierro, the shopping center renowned worldwide for its excellence and for offering products from the leading international brands. Specifically, the Silbon stores will be located in the Polanco centers, the flagship store par excellence, Durango, and Mitikah, all three located in a privileged location within Mexico City. These will be the first steps within the strategic plan that Palacio de Hierro and Silbon have jointly outlined, aiming to reach 7 points of sale by the beginning of 2025.

According to Pablo López, CEO of the company:

In addition to the openings in Mexico, Silbon has revealed a long-term strategic plan that will span several years and aims to consolidate its presence in the international market. The plan includes the opening of new stores in various cities nationally and internationally. Silbon currently has two boutique stores located in Paris, a city where the company plans to continue expanding, and a first ECI sales point opened in the Portuguese city of Porto. In the coming months, the opening of a second point in Lisbon is expected, hand in hand with ECI, a strategic ally for Silbon in its entry strategy into the Portuguese market.

As for sales in the international online channel for the year 2023, a target of 260,000 euros has been set. Until October, 80% of this target has been reached, with still the strongest months of the year in terms of sales to come. Compared to the previous year, sales have increased by 40%, which puts the company's focus on the growth of Silbon in the international market.
