Louis Vuitton reopens Milan flagship, a tribute to Italian heritage and creativity

After three years of restoration work, Louis Vuitton has reopened its historic Milan location at Via Montenapoleone 2.

Led by architect Peter Marino, the transformation of the Palazzo Taverna celebrates an alliance of Milanese heritage and the elegance of Louis Vuitton’s savoir-faire.

The neo-classical façade with its ionic columns – the heritage of Ferdinando Albertolli – perfectly embodies the spirit of Milan, a symbol of timeless elegance. The interior features noble materials sourced from Lombardy workshops, with stairs inspired by Villa Necchi Campiglio and a courtyard bathed in sunlight that filters through the spectacular glass skylight. A tribute to Milan’s rich architecture, the store offers an immersion into the world of Louis Vuitton.

The different spaces propose both a cultural and exciting new culinary experience with the opening of the Da Vittorio Café Louis Vuitton and the restaurant DaV by Da Vittorio Louis Vuitton. In partnership with the Da Vittorio Restaurant, which holds three Michelin stars, these new gourmet outposts meld simplicity and refinement. The café menu features “luxury snacking”, with generously-portioned reinvented dishes, while the restaurant celebrates Italian gastronomy with new takes on iconic recipes such as osso buco with saffron-flavored risotto, served in the shape of the Louis Vuitton Monogram flower.

The store displays a collection of contemporary art too, testifying to the creative energy of Milan, with an entire floor dedicated to design, including the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades collection.
