Glenmorangie partners world’s first auction dedicated to women in whisky

The OurWhisky Foundation has hosted the first auction dedicating to recognizing the achievements and contributions of women in the whisky industry. Organized in partnership with many whisky brands, including Ardbeg, and Whisky Auctioneer, the online whisky and spirits auction platform, the auction marks a milestone in the history of whisky.

The auction centers on The Demeter Collection, a curated selection of unique releases, all crafted and inspired by the industry’s most talented women. Each bottle in this exceptional collection showcases the craft and expertise involved, along with the compelling stories of the women behind their creation.

As part of the auction, Gillian Macdonald, Master Blender and Head of Whisky Creation at Glenmorangie and Ardbeg, created a unique bottling of Ardbeg Twenty that was sold at the auction. All funds raised will go towards continued support for women working in whisky, including the OurWhisky Foundation’s mentorship program.
