Starting November 1, 2025, Meliá Hotels International will take over the management of MiM Hotels, the boutique hotel chain owned by football legend Lionel Messi, integrating its six properties into the brand’s prestigious The Meliá Collection portfolio.
The agreement covers properties in Sitges, Ibiza, Mallorca, Andorra, Baqueira Beret, and Sotogrande, further strengthening Meliá’s position in the lifestyle-boutique segment and reinforcing the connection between sport, luxury, and sustainability.
Gabriel Escarrer, CEO of Meliá Hotels International, emphasized that this alliance “enhances our commitment to authentic, local experiences, combining Meliá’s global prestige with Messi’s unique international appeal.”
With this move, Meliá continues expanding its portfolio of iconic, design-driven destinations, merging the strength of a world-class hospitality brand with the aspirational aura of one of the most admired athletes of our time.
All MiM properties will gradually join Meliá’s loyalty and distribution ecosystem while preserving their Mediterranean contemporary spirit and sustainable ethos.
