Para la primera exposici\u00f3n retrospectiva de la Maison en el Palais de Tokyo de Par\u00eds en oto\u00f1o de 2022, y luego en Asia durante 2023, la Maison de alta joyer\u00eda ha ido en busca de las piezas que han dado forma a sus 85 a\u00f1os de historia. Es por eso que Val\u00e9rie Samuel, Vicepresidenta y Directora Art\u00edstica de Fred , y nieta del fundador, lanz\u00f3 la campa\u00f1a mundial \u201cFred busca a Fred\u201d en 2020. No sab\u00eda entonces qu\u00e9 le deparaba el destino\u2026<\/p>\n

Fred Samuel fund\u00f3 su Maison en 1936. El “Joyero Creativo Moderno” pronto atrajo a una clientela de celebridades y las familias reales y principescas le confiaron sus encargos especiales. Para cumplirlos, el joyero comenz\u00f3 a buscar piedras preciosas que lo ayudaran a crear verdaderas obras maestras. Sin duda, Fred se convirti\u00f3 en el joyero especializado en color. Su esp\u00edritu visionario y su saber hacer dieron lugar a piezas excepcionales, entre ellas \u201cPretty Coeur\u201d, fascinantes joyas, como el broche \u201c Oiseau \u201d (P\u00e1jaro), realizado con zafiros multicolores, entre otros, y por supuesto, el SOLEIL D’ O.<\/p>\n

Fred se cruz\u00f3 en su camino con esta excepcional piedra en 1977. Diamante an\u00f3nimo, con un incre\u00edble peso de 105,54 quilates y un tono \u201cFancy Yellow\u201d, se convirti\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente en una de las piezas m\u00e1s fascinantes de su \u00e9poca. Inusualmente hermoso en todos los aspectos, su resplandor solar y su color brillante fueron suficientes para que Henri Samuel lo llamara SOLEIL D’OR. Ten\u00eda algo de la luz del sol de la Riviera francesa y encarnaba la alegr\u00eda de vivir, el optimismo, la energ\u00eda y la calidez que han dado vida a cada pieza de joyer\u00eda dise\u00f1ada por la Maison. El SOLEIL D’OR se present\u00f3 al p\u00fablico en general el 24 de noviembre, 1977, durante una exposici\u00f3n organizada en la hist\u00f3rica boutique de Fred en Par\u00eds. Otro evento, realizado antes de la exposici\u00f3n en Maxim’s, a la que asisti\u00f3 la actriz Margaux Hemingway, donde juguetonamente fingi\u00f3 perder la piedra por un corto per\u00edodo de tiempo, la convirti\u00f3 en un \u00edcono eterno.<\/p>

Luego, las piedras de colores se convirtieron en una pasi\u00f3n caracter\u00edstica a lo largo de la historia de FRED, pero SOLEIL D’OR fue y ser\u00e1 su historia m\u00e1s hermosa. \u201cCuando colocamos el SOLEIL D’OR en el contexto de la historia de Fred, apreciamos c\u00f3mo personifica completamente una casa de joyer\u00eda que sobresale en la creaci\u00f3n y comercializaci\u00f3n de joyas en su propia forma \u00fanica\u201d, dice Charles Leung, director ejecutivo de Fred. De hecho, el SOLEIL D’OR desapareci\u00f3 de la vista en los secretos de los coleccionistas privados en noviembre de 1977, pero su memoria se ha mantenido muy viva. En 2021, despu\u00e9s de m\u00e1s de 44 a\u00f1os de diferencia, SOLEIL D’OR reapareci\u00f3 gracias a la b\u00fasqueda de material de archivo liderada por Val\u00e9rie Samuel. La piedra ha sido pulida y recortada en talla esmeralda con esquinas en \u00e1ngulo. Ahora pesa 101,57 quilates, y la nueva forma magnifica su color, descrito como “Fancy Intense Yellow”. El SOLEIL D’OR es un aut\u00e9ntico tesoro gracias a su magn\u00edfico tama\u00f1o, color excepcionalmente rico y rareza en la naturaleza.<\/p>\n

La piedra preciosa fabulosa finalmente ha regresado al patrimonio de la Maison, y relata su genio y experiencia. Pero hay m\u00e1s.
